Only in my memories. ( An elegy )
I can find you only in my memories...
Wish I could dream about you for long
You're the melody etched in my memory...
Like a nightingale's unfinished song.
Will you be waiting for me...
Till I reach the end of the road
Hand in hand we go and explore...
Running through the fields of gold
The person underneath the ground...
Is just a home where you lived before
You went through tears and trials...
But trust me, not anymore !
Don't know why heavens want me to wait...
But I'm waiting to see you soon
I hope you remember your promise...
To fly me to the moon.
Every lightning that flashes at night...
Reminds me of your saddest eyes,
Every winter, I reminisce the last time...
I touched you, you were cold as ice
But I smile when I hold the polariod...
The face I'll never forget,
The memories that can't be destroyed...
I know, you don't want me to regret.
Every November I light up a candle...
Letting the wind put off the flames
You gave me time to rest and understand...
To think of everyone I meet and play guessing games
I admit, the life I shared with you was better...
But you'd hate to see tears on my pillow
I imagine you stealthily creep in at night...
And throw dream sparkles from a nearby willow.
I can find you only in my memories...
Still living in the world my mind has made
I smile and laugh like other normal people
But in the loneliness and the dark, tears cascade.
I can find you only on my memories...
Yes, that's where you belong
But let it be a sweet temptation, a mystery...
Your scent and your unfinished song.
