I lay in a deep slumber
Seems to be peaceful, but yet, I wonder
As I dream this warm, comforting dream
I get this strange, calm feeling
So I fall into a deeper slumber
There seems to be no end to this dream
So I take this time to wander

What is this dream I keep dreaming
I can't remember when I last dreamt of such a peaceful place. Usually, my subconscious feeds me darkness and pain.
I'm going to enjoy this break I have received
But even in my subconscious, I worry.

I'm not use to letting myself go
I don't know how to handle myself in this kind of dream. I'm startled when I'm visited by a crow. It nestles itself beside me, it doesn't move, it just keeps staring me like its studying me. I've seen this bird before, it would be flying overhead when I was in those hellish dreams; fire and brimstone would soon follow. It never left, it gave me strength when I thought I couldn't take the torture anymore.
