False Love
The lonely days, such persistence.
Walking endlessly in the maze
Of life that I thought was fun.
But 𝒉𝒆 came along, a quiet smile.
Oh, I love that smile of his.

Seconds pass, so too is fate.
Sharing things of what's the same
And cause laughter through it.
He brightened my days more,
More than what others have done.

I love him so much, I truly do.
But I wish we laughed more.
My eyes saw something that shouldn't,
And taste the sweetness of citrus;
The silhouette of his, blended to another.

I forgot how to trust anyone.
I hate myself for being naïve.
I thought it so true, but I suppose not.
Trying to be someone's lover
Caused me to become a loner.

P.S. Apologies for my absence! It's been a long time since I last returned to making poems, and I may seldomly be as active as I used to be. Thank you for reading, anyway! 💜
