The Anchor and The Ship
Astray in strife
Of crashing blue
A ship gone too far.

Water scarring wooden splinters of oak and ebony,
Mangling mulberry silk till the masts sink in the sea...
Trapped in tempests till it tears to maimed misery,
A ship sailing through storms of anger and agony.

And it claws through sapphire stained gold, the anchor iron,
Drags at sand to save that damned ship, battered and broken.

Wisps of white blanket blooming morning mercy,
As it drizzles dew on the wreck wrested to safety...
Saved by the anchor tugging through cold cruelty,
The ship sails once again with its anchor mighty.

And the anchor weeps in the deep dark depths of the ocean,
The ship's saviour silently sighing for what could've been done.

But the ship knows what the anchor cannot see,
Without the anchor, the ship wouldn't even be...
When chaos crashes and the times toll tragedy,
The anchor is the ship's life, an angel heavenly.

Angel of life
Is what we call you
And you truly are.
