Version of a voiceless vow of violence
Walking down the aisle
Of a chilly chapel.
There I see
My beloved.

For we
Love each other
Tremendlessly.

There I see
My husband - to - be.

Walking down the aisle
My mind got back to the night
He got down on one knee.

The beautiful white carpet
Came to its end.

He took out
His version of a voiceless vow of violence.

For his love was never there.
A silence I could not bare.

'Are you in love with me?' I asked.
- 'I am and I will till death do us part'. He said.

'Are you deceiving me?' I asked.
- 'No, for God be my witness.' He said.

'Are you a man of honesty?' I asked.
- 'I am the man who wrote a version of a voiceless vow of violence'. He said.

'Who are you?' I asked.

- 'I am this poem, which you should read backwards.' He said.
