*When She Smiles*
_Deep in my heart, I ponder in wonder
Exhaling mouth fulls of anxious sighs
The days fading in and out in wander
To nowhere, to no goal it gets nigh

When time seems unmoving and still
And the age unchanging and stagnant
So much so that life's joys are bland
And the world slows to a listless halt_

_I find in dismay, my river of words, frozen
Captured by the cold hands of a dreary world
Imprisoned by the gray clouds of despair
Covered by the dark ages of apathy

But, When she smiles,
My prison chains of despair are broken
The drear of impassivity is excited
My words pour forth in torrential storms

And when she smiles,
In tumultuous exultation, my heart leaps
Basking in the brightness of the festive day
For the world flies in passionate abandon

For, when she smiles,
The day's hues are illuminated in her dimples
Brightened by the glowing resplendent beauty
Bestowed upon by the bliss of nature's grace

Yes, when she smiles,
Methinks the world but pauses to behold
the twinkle of perfect sincerity and rightness
the elegant curl of smiling lips
The harbinger of the jubilant spring

When she smiles at me._
