Smiles In The Face Of Trials
My admiration smiles in the face
of the trials destined to test my faith.
But I'm no fool, for I've tasted the dirt
Of my prodigal ways tearing the illusion,
"Fulfillment is found Outside the Palace".
Revealing my opposition & the host of hell
Eager for flesh and bone,
A malice coated in milk and honey,
Soft skin and blood money.
But a domain beyond time
Rest in my weary eyes,
Urging I stay the course, for this to shall pass.

My admiration smiles in the face
Of the trials destined to test my faith.
Facing pain yet exploring the depth
Of my convictions,
Within this realm of trust and belief.
Are my pursuits powered by blindness
Or undeniable evidence in me.
Am I a coward clinging unto a diety,
A mad man in need of relief,
Or a walking miracle I finally noticed.
For the fruits of my toil are not tangible,
But in my soul
Lies the shedding of counterfeits.

My admiration smiles in the face
Of the trials destined to test my faith.
Peeling the layers of who I am,
Unveiling a deeper plot to my story.
What then is turmoil, but a fading page
Uncovering the dawn of my triumphs?
What then is misfortune,
But the devil's mistake,
That I am a dying flame?

My admiration smiles in the face
Of the trials destined to test my faith.
Outwardly I'm shaken,
But what I believe remains the same..

Potent....
Unchanged....
