A Thousand More
I've written numerous poems about you
And I could write a thousand still
There are so many things that I could say
Like so much love for you I feel!

You are the son that God gave me
And He knew you would bring me joy
I have never felt love this strong
For my precious baby boy!

Of course I'm still grieving
And I have something on my mind
It's to pull myself together here
Because I know in my heart you're fine.

I want to know the peace and joy you're feeling
It's what you were waiting for so long
Even though your illness held you down
Didn't mean that you weren't strong

I just want to let go of myself
And just concentrate on you
The happiness and joy you're feeling now
I know in my heart it's really true!

I know what God has promised
That this pain won't last forever
And I'm so looking forward to being with you
Because we can live our new lives together!
