This one is about Maynard letting go of his mother's ghost (Judith) who is still haunting him in his mind. (Telling Ghosts) Spreading her ashes at the vineyard
was his way of letting her go and the pain he's been through. Also, it's a kind of supplication when he's pleading with the Earth to bring rain to grow grapes.
