Velvet Glimmer
Be in a world
Where everything glimmers
Stop light with gem stones
Cobblestone glitters
Velvet clouds on the horizon
I feel the lightness of the sunset
Dimming around me
Thinking of nothing, yet
Blemished stars peaking
Through the fleeting clouds
Waves crashing, moments everlasting
My heart pounding loud
Intentional now, in thoughts
Remembering all I’ve become
Listening to the pages I wrote
The many songs I’ve sung
The feeling like velvet
The healing like holy water
The destined are asking
What’s the price of this father?
I follow my heart and dreams
And I don’t depend on the others
Hope for the best
Expect the worse
A soft spoiled lining person like me
