Growing Alone
Never challenged by a book
Nor a test ever shook
Perfect scores cover the board
Yet still held back, it makes me sore
Is school so essential?
So very prudent?
Or a motive kept confidential
This coming from a grade A student
All the time and work I do
And what comes out I ask to you
I know how to write
I know how to think
No one beats me at math
I'm not a douche,
Just saying the facts
I am perfection in the system
Yet still I feel like a lost pilgrim
Everything I'm told to know
I've perfected while on the go
Yet everything I know I need
They tell me that's all up to me
Friends? How's that work?
I'm seventeen years of age
Yet it's just my third year onstage
My parents don't use modern perks
Technology
A missed prerequisite
No apology
What I learned belongs in an exhibit
How...
