In the quietest part of the night,
When you hover between dark and light,
Wondering if you can float away on dreams,
Hoping they won't turn into screams,
Resisting the urge to open your eyes,
Afraid to see something not nice ,
Little by little when you wonder ,
The scenes gets darker and darker,
Clearly hearing the clock ticking,
Trying to feel if someone or something lurking,
Covered in layers of blanket,
While your heart beats like rocket,
Hearing heavy foot steps towards your room door ,
Glass of water that fell on the floor,
