Great nation India is a big world in itself
With its each State functioning as continent

Entitled 'Golden Bird',
Attacked by kings around the world.
Each culture incorporated in it,
A diverse India formed.

Clutched by the rulers of west,
Suffered for 200 years.
Blood shed like water,
Liberty - only dream.

At last,
Liberated into pieces,
Independent but separated.

It hold its diversity
close to its heart.
Uncountable languages,
but people are one.
So many religions,
a place for every one.
Regional conflicts are not here to stay,
Love thy fellow beings is what we say.

Politicians do play cruel,
Sacrificing innumerable lives,
with greed for power.

In the end,
Unity is something that survives,
Love cannot die, neither can be killed.

We are united, no matter how diverse.
