Read Me First
Open up my brain -
just for a moment.
Take a slice,
and grab your microscope.
What will you find?
Some cellular complexities.
Or how about some,
haywire discrepancies?
How about those,
forgotten memories?
Discarded by the passing of ages,
take a flip,
through my cerebral pages.
The mind is like a book,
an endless combination
of illustrations.
Check out the anatomy,
of these hidden narratives.
A passageway -
on these waves -
of precieved headway.
What will you find,
if you look real close?
The cranium is stuffed,
cranny to crook.
So open me up.
Read me all the way through.
You'll find that there is more to me,
than if you so choose,
to just hover over my binds.
The cover is nothing.
A decoration for the masses -
you have to dig deeper -
into these passages.
If you see my face,
just think of it as a prologue.
The fine print is there,
but the story is deep in the throes
of neural activity.
Break into my unknown.
You can see,
why the spine is so torn.
Keep going,
let your fingers roam.
Paragraph-to-paragraph.
The chapters keep on.
Your first perception of me is,
GONE.
You know what they say about
books and covers.
Your eyes are all wrong.
Now you can
stitch me back up.
So we can meet
head-ON.
