I remember you, my first friend
I was a shy kid, still am
You were the opposite, you were outgoing
We had the same class and grew close
More than friends became best friends
Told each other everything, no secrets untold
Best Friends Forever, never to break apart
We had a bond, an unbreakable bond
At least... I thought we did
I didn't know it then, didn't see the signs
You were never my friend
You never cared about me
I was just a tool to you
Just a pawn in your schemes
I was naive to notice the changes
You would get controlling
Wouldnt listen to my ideas
Didn't care what I thought
Coming up with excuses to not hangout
Avoiding me when it wasn't convenient
All over me when it was beneficial
I made excuses for your behavior
Wouldnt accept the truth
You were so two-faced
A trickster
Tricking people into your trap
All you knew were lies and deceit
One minute we're friends
Two peas in a pot
Then your telling lies
Creating rumors behind my back
Making fun of me without a care
Just to turn into an angel when near
Eventually, I saw through your lies
Saw past the facade you played so well
A meticulously woven entanglement
Catching all who fell to deep
I fell for your trap
A web of manipulation woven so tight around me
It was tough, a leathery type thickness
Tried to come up with ways to cut through
All failed, all just would do
You knew what you were doing
The extent you wanted to go
But you underestimated me
As you spread more fabrications
I broke free from your net
We could have been friends
But all you know is dishonesty
It must be hard being a fraud
Your cunningness must put you in tight spots
We may never be friends again
Never build a bond
Your fakery must leave you lonely
But that's the life you chose
