Five minutes before the arrival,
Of the train and your departure,
I came to you, for you were to me, vital.
Anxious, will i ever see you in future?

Four minutes ago,
We stood there, hand in hand,
Ignoring comments and people with ego,
Only you mattered. Do you understand?

Three minutes left,
You handed me your chain,
I held it tight, afraid of theft,
We hug, for a moment i have no pain.

Two minutes remain,
You are about to leave,
Not sure when i will see you again,
Will we ever be together on a Christmas eve?

A minute left,
We still dont let go of our hands,
We exchange last goodbyes, 
And try to forget the rest.

Time's up and the train moves ahead,
I run along till i can no more,
Till where the platform ends
And the tracks continue.

I could see you,
Near the door,
Ready to jump off,
But i had already made you promise not to do so.

That's how life is,
Bitter and cruel,
But if its destiny's wish,
We will be together.

And i will wait for that day,
Even if i have to wait for the rest of my life....
