No Hope In Sight

The days were unending as were the nights,
She waited and waited and waited,
But there seemed no hope in sight
She was his life, the goddess of his dreams
He had told her and told her
But in the dark silent nights, she is nothing it seems
The silence scared her she'd seen it before,
And though stronger now and braver,
She expected the same, once more
He'd promised her his love, day and night,
So she opened her heart and trusted
Once she was his... He took flight
She felt an emptiness deep in her soul,
As her heart kept on breaking,
The tears rolled and rolled and rolled.
