The candle flames flicker
I remember that shower
You gave me love
Showed me romance

The flame grows
Ingulfing the room
Why did you do it?

Only to leave when I lit?

I dropped and saved myself

You forgot there's a different type of fire

This fire you lit
Once romance
Now rage

Now abuse

Now it's suffocating

You raged when I took the matches
You threw a flare
Hoping to get my attention
Hoping to set me on fire

This fire inside me
Is brighter that those candles
Brighter than that flare
This fire can destroy forests
This fire you accidentally lit
Cannot be controlled by you anymore

The heat of the flame is alive
Residing in my heart
Formally love
Now hatred
