Justice and mercy

She rises from the ashes,
Donning infinite avatars,
Sending the vile searching for cover,
And begging for mercy...who would pardon her?

She saw and lived through hell,
Everyday she wanted to scream and yell,
But he wouldn't let her, wouldn't allow it,
Continued breaking her spirit bit by bit.

She rose from the ashes in search for mercy,
Walked the streets, her eyes run out of all ecstasy,
In her hand was a knife, her tool for seeking justice,
She used it to free herself from malice.

No one dared talked,they couldn't,
They saw what happened, they heard it,
The blood flowed down the city drains,
The rest washed away by the rains.

His body lay on the ground, lifeless,
His tool of trade,a whip,at his side, motionless,
A true reflection of society's members,
Who shoved down women's rights and burned them to embers.
