Somedays
Somedays, I desire a secure location,
Certainly under the tree’s complexion,
And way far from everyone’s undivided gazes,
Wish I could stroll with my head held high,
And leave without whispering goodbye.
Somedays, I prefer to be secluded,
Feign deaf to what they’ve recognized,
And, pretend it wouldn’t annihilate my life,
Close my eyes and forget why I’m alive,
Afterall, wishes have been my absolute affliction.
Somedays, I yearn for a genuine smile,
To wipe away the tears from the junction of my eyes,
And, ignore the chills that terrify me,
All I...
