In the end it was just me and my thoughts,
A painful trap, long after you were gone
Left me wondering though,
It seemed you were in a hurry,
Left in such haste,
I wish I could wish you well for your journey,
Well! all these thoughts and so many now Ebb and tide;
For such clear is my image of that day,
You sat silently throughout ,
on that chair,
I left your beloved 'adrak-wali chai' brewing on the stove,
Hoping to pour my heart out over and over every sip,
Only ,
To find that you had left!!!
I will be expecting you,
Always,
Waiting to pour my heart out,
Over and over again,
Sipping our favourite,'adrak wali chai'
Let me remind you ,
It continues to brew ,
And sew many more stories together.
