He married a little girl...
#WritcoPoemPrompt44
Think about a time in your life when you couldn’t make a decision, and write a poem based on it.

I didn't want to marry him
He was my father's friend and older than my little self I was only 12,
but I knew getting an education all depended on his selfish act...

Father told me I was our last hope,
My education and decision was our last hope,
That he wouldn't force me,
But all I had to do was think of everyone but me.

So I did,
We got married on the day I was born and I had never felt more like a child
I wasn't wise,
I didn't know running away was only a thought away but it never came as option for I, I thought getting married was my only option.

I laid my back on his bed,
Spread my legs wide open like he said,
He took me there and then,
But there was no pleasure after the pain like mother had said,
I felt something tear,
the pain was beyond what I could bear,
the last thing I saw was the satisfaction in his eyes,
and the last thing I felt were the tears rolling down my eyes.
