The Homeless Life
Homeless or housed,
Racist or rich,
Fed or fed up with this ongoing stitch.

Look at them dying on the sidewalk you walk,
And when they beg for charity it's silent when they talk.

A rain cloud forever over the heads of the unfortunate,
And as soon as they're unwanted it's immediately permanent.

Their minds full of doubt because of the limited amount of help,
Love is a distant emotion of what they have never felt.

So if your feet trail past a homeless man,
A past army veteran or a misfortunate man,
Think of the benefits of your life,
And then imagine what they had to survive in.

Then check your pockets,
Because there's are full of dust and holes,
And spare some change through money or hope,
Make some change in the lives that have no one,
Give some change to the lives that have nothing.
