And Someday We'll be there again..
Do not set thy gaze upon me,
For I'm bare,

As the leafless tree with lifeless branches,
Whose roots are buried in the dry earth.

I'm food for my enemies,
Like a cornered prey,

Stuck between;
The fangs of The harsh harmattan wind and,
The heat of the brutal summer sun.

All hope seems to be in a distant universe,
Even my shade speaks so little in size,

When the rain cometh,
I'm washed like a newborn and,

Tho I know not how to bring forth fruit anymore,
I know that seasons will surely come and go,

Both the good and bad and,
So someday I'll stand tall again.
