We Must Bear Fruit
We live as hostages of our past,
People won't let us heal from it,
We won't let ourselves heal from it,
Like we're doing the world a service
By punishing ourself...
Isn't living unfulfilled & hopeless
And off of others opinions
Punishment enough?

We do not reflect for the lessons,
But to reopen the wounds
That are now calluses.
If we are looking for thrill,
Why do it in the expense of our soul?
Is depression the God we serve,
That we humble ourselves to the pain of sores?
Instead of the vulnerability found in revelation,
That though you've made mistakes,
And breath remains in your lungs,
You are worth redemption,
Lyrics itched in biblical songs.

What did not produce you,
nor knows the substance of your soul,
it's intricacies, it's ethereal fields of glory,
Cannot define the value
Authored before foundation.
"You", like a friend always says
"You belong to a living God,
Do not Diminish what's Divine
on the past you've lived,
learn, and use it as building blocks,
to heal all who walk the same path,
That is a life worth living..
for we are trees, we must bear fruit,
Not for ourselves, but those who are weary,
To Awaken to the hush of a new dawn"
