Little dove why do you cry?
What bred the tears trickling down your cheeks?
What caused your anguish and plea to die?
You’ve been through so much these past weeks.

Little baby dove, why are you sad?
Stare into my melancholy heart.
Can I give you what you once had?

Do I make you feel better my dove?
I clasp your intricate wings,

O’ my pulchritudinous dove, why can’t you see?
