I used to play with switches
when I was young and unconcerned
about 'yesterday' or 'tomorrow'
because 'today' was all I had.
I would turn on the switch &
look at the glowing bulb.
Oh, how it filled me with joy!
Then I would turn off the switch &
stare at the bulb as dull as a sad day.
And yes it made me disappointed.
But neither did I want the bulb to always glow.
So I balanced the switch between on & off or rather, hoped...
