Anubis
Open star lit skies of dog days of summer
And far stretched out lands of sand. The brightest star in the sky Sirius the Dog star shines the brightest this time of year.
Your dead be ready and you best look alive Because this is the time when Anubis arrives. He's the guardian of the dead
With a jackal for a head.
Titled by the gods as the last judge Equipped with a feather and his scales of truth That weigh the heart and tooth.
If the soul be heavier than the feather then cast to hell forever,
If the soul be lighter than the feather ascension to heaven is granted with good measure.
The fate of the souls
Belong to the guide of the thresholds
The God of the Desert and Keeper of Graves He only grants eternal ascension to those who are brave.
God of the Scales , funerals and the dead
The Egyptian God of the Underworld
With a jackal for a head.
