It's been raining for hours,
Admired its misty view from the window,
Could hear the wind and the showers,
While you lay your head on my pillow,
As beautiful as the first day I set my eyes on you,
You were unencumbered and happy as can be like I desired,
lost in your thoughts as stared away at the misty view,
Was he in your thoughts, deep truths I required,
with deep breaths, you smiled with your eyes,
walls of my heart and trust shattered with your lies.
Revelations of the double life you led, left me frightened at the new stranger on my bed,
The kiss that unintentionally took my breath away are now reminders of your unfaithfulness,
As contented as can be you feigned, your very soul imbued with covetousness.
Infidelity, the greatest betrayal I can't find myself forgiving,
How to get back to our haven of trust I pondered
The promises of change I don't find myself believing,
walking away from this I've decided, for in your arms... I feel at home no longer.
