demise of humanity
#WritcoPoemChallenge
#CoronaVirus
The days too eventually fell silent,
No sounds, not even by the crows,
All you could hear was the sound of,
Fear knocking on the doors,
As silence walked the empty street's
Faces got masked and souls unmasked
As the clocks moved slower and slower
The craving for touch, the craving for feel
Slowly overpowering the four walls around
Tablets and phones replaced faces
And if that was not enough
We sold our souls to the devil
We sold humanity and filled our pockets
The soul remained hollow, empty
It wasn't a disease it wasn't a pandemic
It was humanity on trial and
Humanity hung on the gallows
Its still hanging there, but we chose to ignore it
we still are...
