The Empty Bed
In the silence of the night, his tears roll,
A husband broken, lost, devoid of soul,
He lies upon the bed, filled with despair,
Staring at the empty space, once kissed by her tender embrace.

Her laughter echoes in his lonely mind,
Her smile that could warm even coldest night,
But now darkness reigns where light once existed,
Leaving him shattered, his heart so twisted.

He longs to feel her warmth beside his skin,
To taste her lips and feel her love within,
But fate has cruelly torn them apart,
Leaving him with memories, a shattered heart.

The room is filled with shadows of their past,
Reminders of a love too precious but couldn't last,
He reaches out, but she's no longer there,
Leaving emptiness and anguish to bear.

Each night he cries, consumed by grief's embrace,
Yearning for her touch in this desolate space,
The tears flow freely as he whispers her name,
Wishing for one more moment in love's fiery flame.

Time stands still as he clings to what remains,
The memories etched on his veins,
A symphony of pain fills the silent air,
As he mourns the loss of a love beyond compare.

In dreams, they dance beneath a moonlit sky,
Where sorrow dissipates and love can't die,
But reality harshly brings him back again,
To face a world where loneliness remains.
