Wishing Upon a Dandelion
I wished upon a dandelion,
You came the next day,
A floating angel come from heaven,
A streak of luck, come astray.
There's glistening in the water,
As you're drifting below a ray,
Of sunshine the only one to be found, Across miles all else is rain.
'Though you are unique,
There are many the same,
You are my granted wish,
Alike to the flower which granted it yesterday.
My elegant dandelion,
My gust of breath forces you to rise,
But no longer be a tool to be used,
Live on across the British Isles.
