What or who I say?
Something woke me up,
now sure when or how,
and I started seeing things differently.
As a child I was fearful,
and sometimes tearful,
often I had nightmares,
so bad I feared sleep.
Once a little friend and I admitted,
we couldn't imagine
surviving to middle age.
I'm serious.
I was that confused.
Adult age came,
but I was toxed up, too.
Though this messed
some things up for me,
I kept reviving,
like some life force
wasn't into subsiding.
There were crazy thoughts
about what I didn't understand,
but as the toxins came out,
I began to comprehend
so many things,
and become less silly,
