My Life was struck with a Truth
That no one was prepared for
My Father's blood is not My own
But His Love will always be

My Mother's Decision,
My Father's Guidance
Shaped Everything I am today
And I would never change a moment

So here I stand before a new Path
One that was always there
But just out of sight,
Though I knew not even to look

My future has changed, inexplicably
Variables have been made present,
That I cannot begin to decipher
And now I begin a new Lesson
