I Know My Foes
I know my foes.
They search my life for Faults,
and use my flaws to wipe their filthy floors
Like vultures,
they sharpen their claws
impatiently waiting for me to fall.
Painful and deceitful words
gush out of their mouths,
where rivers of death flow.
I know my foes,
they do so little to hide their evil thoughts.
Like serpents they cunningly slither in, their presence announced by their deadly hiss.
All they seek is to
devour my peace,and
without the promise
of even a single silver piece
they are all too keen to lead me to death's embrace
Daggers to my heart
are their cold ghostly smiles,
the mirages they cast of
a non-existent love.
So warm is their touch
as they caress my skin,
kissing my chicks with their
venomous lips,
but i know my foes
for they do so little to hide their thoughts.
