"Drifting Friends"
In childhood's sunny, happy days,
We laughed and played in so many ways.
But now, it seems, we're drifting apart,
Like ships on a sea, each with a different heart.
Once we were peas in a pod, so tight,
But now, it's like day turns to night.
Our interests have changed, it's plain to see,
And that's why you and I can't always agree.
I miss the times when we were close,
Sharing secrets, like a heartfelt prose.
But now, we're like stars in the night sky,
Too far apart, and I don't know why.
It's okay to grow and change, my friend,
But I hope our bond won't truly end.
For even if we're miles apart,
You'll always have a place in my heart.
