Was I always fated to walk this path?
All my moves preordained.
All my choices are written.
If this be the case, I think that I'd only laugh,
No point to complain.
No need to be forgiven.

Yet, is this who I'm destined to be?
An oration healer.
An empathy feeler.
Is it the finish line for me?
No room left to grow?
No seeds left to sow?

If fate is the recipe,
Destiny's the cake,
A life of ingredients,
Turn the oven to bake.

It's hard to differentiate between these options,
Both end on the pyre,
Or sealed within a coffin,
But so I want to believe that I have no free choice?
When I finish the hand,
Will I fold or rejoice?

So many paths,
So many hours.
Do I let fate choose on my behalf?
Do I change it up?
Do I accept it at least?

Wise words I came across in a movie script,
"The All Father,
wove the skein,
of your life", it begins, "
a long time ago.
Hide in a hole if you wish,
You won't live one minute longer."
And it finishes with,
"Fair prophets demand nothing. "

There's nothing to fear if it's all been decided.
Either way I'd be delighted,
