The Burden
One day, I suddenly
felt a burden on my neck.
At first, it smelled good
but gradually, it started stinking.
No one took the burden off my neck
because of the stench.
I carried them with me for years
Slowly my body began to bent
My eyes become red,
bruises appeared on my nape.
One day, someone cut that
weight off my neck and
made me emancipated
Then I realized that the burden,
I had borne for so long
belonged to my wedding chain.
