a constant beat of the thumping thudding thrumming drums
a vengeful laughing scoffing sneering

endless, repeated, repetitive noise
taunting me ceaselessly, over and over
I will not be left alone, the noise the voice the sound of choice

heed it's words with hefty concern
else or you shall not return
the steady rhythmic noisy strums
the freedom I so crave is abandonless
