CORONA, OH CORONA!

PREAMBLE: When I first came across this poem challenge I dropped it as hot potatoes as I felt that Corona Virus didn't deserve a poem. During one of my subsequent visits to this site I suddenly froze in my tracks as I realised that the subject of a poem
need not always be euoligised and that a poem could also be used to wage a literary war against a subject. This realisation led to the birth of this poem.

The days too eventually fell silent,
No sounds, not even by the crows,
All you could hear was the sound of,
Fear knocking on the doors,
Corona Virus perpetually stalking;
Beware of outdoor walking


Corona, oh Corona!
Thou art the Devil's monster.
From where did thou come?
Is it from the Hellish Wuhan?
