Thrown at stately homes
While the occupants are in the dinning room having tea and scones
The bell is rung for the butler to come
to inform the police what the ruffians have done
Chasing them away with a loaded shotgun
isn't the way that things should be done
As it could be the gamekeeper's daughter or son
Upsetting the staff isn't really much fun
A report is filled by the village bobby
as he eats a scone washed down with tea.
