I'm in the season of understanding
Understanding my habits
Letting go of the pain
Forgiving those who have harmed
Including myself, I'm not innocent

I'm learning to just be
Be in my present reality
Whatever that may be
Even if it's uncomfortable
I'm learning to embrace it
Embracing all that comes to me

I'm learning to have faith
In the Lord's plan
I have this feeling inside my being
He has and always will have me
Since the beginning of time
He showed love through His eyes
His actions matched and so did His words
Aligning into a world that was made
For His children that obey

His hope it stretches further than the eyes can see
A love that sparks a unquenchable flame
A perfect law that we must obey
You see He is a perfect being
Who loves us in our imperfect ways

I always thought I had no purpose
Until He quinched a thirst that dry as a desert
Water hadn't touched this area for years
The day I slept and I had a dream
Laying in a lush field
His voice it spoke like thunder
Telling me to wake up and feel His eternal waters

Rushing consuming warmth and rain
Began to fill up every vein
Not only physically but, also spiritually
He began to mold me into what I am today
Taking away all the pain
As I repented all the guilt
He filled it back with His Holy Spirit
Allowing me to see
This life was always worth living

My faith because of Him
Does not faulter at a whim
It holds on strong to His garments
Prayer and supplication how we speak
I write it through poetry
The words they flow through my brain
I write them down and He speaks away
Giving me answers on what to speak
Learning to speak with authority

I'm learning to embrace it all
The unknown is what it's called
I feel as if I can do anything
As long as I call on His name
This is just the beginning, you hear?
There's more His Holy Spirit hasn't given

I pray that whoever is reading this
Finds His love that surpasses time
It is a love that will fill each hole
Inside the vessel that you know
He'll heal every wound
Seen or unseen that's just how He is
His Holy Majesty who loves you more
Than anything under the sun
