Quest for God
A being full of love,
invisible but visible in hearts,
visible in people's faces,
yet, I have not found him,
nor recognized him in people,
I seek him,
of whom is described as "full of mercy"
I long for him,
who despite all that happened on Calvary,
did not hold back a grudge against his persecutors,
I thirst for him,
who is the "fount of living water"
to quench my raging thirst,
lest I perish,
in utter regret,
for not meeting him,
I long to meet him,
who despite everything I do,
with arms wide open,
welcomes a sinner who repents,
like a prodigal son,
Can I see him,
who does not condemn me,
even in my continued persistence in sin,
still waits at the door, for me to repent,
who is mercy himself,
If I want to see him,
I must therefore love my neighbor as myself,
I must treat everyone equally,
must be kind to everyone I meet,
in this, I will see him who I love,
my God and my Lord.
