I waited for you to show that you are mine

I waited for a circumstance

I waited for your epiphany

That is done

for it has never come

worn down daily with gesture and distaste

I am the epiphany that cannot be shared

So I shake with the universe

I am enough

enough of everything

enough of all time

to here

I shake for myself

You may observe

you may shake with me

but our trembling is for ourselves

this is God's work

roiling within our interior

not less than the creation of the world

no more than myself

only to add the divine entanglement

to our daily mound

upon the hillside of the past

is the mountain of the future

I will shake and tremble

stem to leaf

every atom resonate

I am one of billions

but I am one in all

trembling
