Goal of my life
Everyone was ready for the match
It was probably the last for our batch
We were going to get passed out of school
These days will always be so cool
Matchday was on top of us
We reached the ground in our team bus
The match kicked of with referee's whistle
Unexpectedly, it also started to drizzle.
Both the team's supporters were in the ground
We had to focus on the ball, that was round.
They scored the first goal in the first half
Everyone was angry at us including the staff
We had to win that was on our mind
The defence too started attacking with a grind.
I took a shot but the ball missed the goal
But the ball did hit a girl with a beautiful soul.
Immediately I ran to check the beautiful face
While running, I fell cause of my shoe's lace
She looked up and started laughing loudly
I somehow said sorry, quiet proudly
We did loose our match but I won a great thing
That beautiful girl has my name on her ring.
I missed that shot but scored the goal of my life
That girl eventually became my partner, my wife!
