Lighthouse
Maybe it's time to admit
that this love might be my last
Maybe it's time to realize
that golden sunsets have passed

Every lighthouse burns out eventually
sometimes while the ships are still out at sea
and I can't always be the thing that guides you home
maybe your lighthouse isn't me

I don't know what this life has in store
every morning that I wake up
But I know that I'm not afraid to die
or be down on my luck

Luck is for a betting man
and I wasn't born with gamblin' hands
I've started into the eyes of death
with my hand on his shoulder
told him he could take everything I have
but he can't take my last breath

I've watched the two of us fade
and start back up, like a flicker
Even though the rainfall grows colder
I still won't shiver

So send me a signal
Let me know we'll be alright
Just because this lighthouse has burned out
doesn't mean it's the end of all light
