I create a conversation
Most will never have
I do it through my verses
I break down the good and bad
Of all I've ever been through
Of all I ever hope to be
I sit down with my pen and pad
And write the words I bleed
A lifetime lived in darkness
Four decades says it all
Some words are easier to write
While others simply fall
Onto the page before me
Like blood drips from a blade
I create a conversation
From every joy and every pain
I've ever lived throughout my life
A tale of light inside the dark
And if you still can't see at all
You're still missing every mark.
