This is my life now.

I'm stuck in a shell I was told to break free from so often.
People don't understand my need to be protected, and to stay protected.

This is my life now.

I'm becoming less of the Sunflower I've learned to become. Oh ! it was beautiful, but that's all it was.
I'm becoming more like a weed that closes up when you touch it.

I like being on the extreme end of things.
Like hanging on the extreme ends of love and hate and You.

And I know this grief ain't as bad as it seems.
But this is my life now.

This is my life now.
So small and fragile and vulnerable and fallible.
