Reminiscence
Seems like ages
Since I last saw it
That novel and pages
And every little bit.
I can’t recall or tell
Which page was last read
As the book flipped and fell
Into the gap of the bed.
Now I can’t get to the conclusion
So I rely on my imagination.
Been waiting and can’t appear to find
That cute squirrel with a bushy tail
Which visits my garden and mind
As it helped me to sail.
Away from problems and pain
Till I am well and sane.
I still reminisce about the flower you gave
Wished I had not forgotten to save
In my heart or mind
So that our souls would bind
But now you’re gone with your gift
My spirits will take time to uplift.
