Word Balloon
I'd like to ride a word ballon
High up in the sky,
Made of words like bandicoot
And caravanserai
Or perhaps a word like
GARGANTUAN (that's big)
Or another one like excavate
Which really means to dig.
Sometimes I'll use lighter words
Like ethereal and fey,
Sometimes I'll use heavier ones
So I won't drift away---
Like conjugate and colossal
Like octahedral dome
Like ponderous and parliament
Like tabernacle tome.
But the brightest one will be
The best , the shiny happy words
Like scintillate and radiate
They'll fly like hummingbrids.
Don't ask me where I find them,
They're in the dictionary,
And back home I feed them all
To my pedigreed canary!
